Sesame Street Rock History: Jazzy Spies
The “Jazz Numbers” series on Sesame Street, also known as “Jazzy Spies,” was the 1969 series of animations devoted to the numbers 2 through 10 (there was no film for “one” as it is the loneliest number that you’ll ever do).
You might recognize the female vocalist, but that could take you down a rabbit hole.
The music was composed and performed by Columbia jazz artist Danny Zeitlin who would go on to score the 1979 remake of Invasion of the Body Snatchers.
