George Pippen is an emerging singer-songwriter hailing from Indianapolis, Indiana, known for his soulful voice and introspective lyrics that blend Southern rock with modern pop sensibilities. His 45-minute set was a breezy mix of twang and tenderness, with the crowd swaying to “Two Step” under the early afternoon sun. His voice carried a raw, earnest quality that felt right at home in Tempe’s laid-back vibe.

He told us he didn’t expect his Dad to be coming, and pointed him out in the audience, while he honored him with a song by Stephen Wilson, Jr, called “Father’s Son”
