Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors Share Warm Americana Connection at Extra Innings Festival

By on March 12, 2026

When Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors stepped onto the Right Field stage at 3:35 p.m. on February 27, their set felt less like a concert slot and more like a friendly neighborhood gathering under the Arizona sun. Their signature sound—melodic Americana woven with folk-rock warmth, thoughtful lyrics, and effortless harmonies—cuts through the noise of today’s music scene by focusing on connection, resilience, and the small moments that matter. It’s the kind of music that draws people in quietly and leaves them humming along long after the last note.

The timing was ideal. Extra Innings Festival, now in its third year, continues to carve out its own identity as the rootsier companion to Innings Festival, which has anchored Tempe Beach Park since 2018. Launched in 2024, the event pairs live music with spring-training atmosphere, local food, and lakefront views, giving fans a relaxed space to discover and reconnect with artists who value craft over flash.

From Memphis Roots to East Nashville Home

Drew Holcomb grew up in Memphis, Tennessee, before settling in East Nashville, where he formed the band in 2005. Over more than two decades, Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors have earned a devoted following through steady touring, independent releases, and songs that speak to real life with honesty and hope. They have appeared at major festivals including Bonnaroo, Austin City Limits, Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, and Stagecoach, and Drew founded the well-loved Moon River Music Festival in Chattanooga. He’s also in the whiskey business with football legend Peyton Manning.

The lineup has remained remarkably stable in recent years, with no substantial changes that longtime fans would have missed. That consistency has helped the band maintain the close-knit chemistry that defines their live shows.

The band consists of:

  • Drew Holcomb – lead vocals, guitar, harmonica
  • Nathan Dugger – guitar, keys
  • Rich Brinsfield – bass

They are often joined by touring musicians for fuller arrangements. Standout tracks include “Find Your People” (a recent chart-topper on Americana radio with tens of millions of streams), “Family,” “Dragons,” “American Beauty,” “End of the World,” and the longtime favorite “What Would I Do Without You.”
