Lewis Black returns to Summerfest
Lewis Black brings comedy back to Summerfest on July 5 after taking a seven year hiatus. Summerfest’s Henry Maier Fairgounds have played host to comedy greats since Bob Hope headlined the festival in 1968. In 1972, then up-and-comer George Carlin hit the stage to open for Arlo Guthrie, and after launching into his now infamous “Seven Words You Can’t Say on Television,” routine, Carlin was carried away in handcuffs for violating the state’s obscenity laws.
Black first hit the Summerfest stages in 1991, and has been back nearly every year since. Did you catch his hilarious video spilling the beans on the Summerfest line-up? http://summerfest.com/summerfest-lineup-2013
