Paul Weller at the Vogue Tomorrow
LEGENDARY BRITISH ROCKER
COMES TO THE VOGUE TOMORROW, THURSDAY JUNE 18
WITH OPENER HANNAH COHEN
** TICKETS ON SALE NOW**
WHAT: Paul Weller takes the stage at The Vogue tomorrow night! Starting out in England with bands The Jam and The Style Council, Weller has come a long way since launching his solo career in 1991. The legendary British rocker’s passion, progression, languid grooves and spine tingling rock and roll make for unbelievable live shows.
His most recent studio album, Saturns Pattern, was released this past May and features 9 brilliantly experimental, hypnotic tracks. As a follow up to his highly adventurous album Sonik Kicks, the concise project proves Weller to be a true master of classic rock. Reaching number 2 on the UK Albums chart, Paul Weller’s 12th solo album yet again pushes the limits of musical genres, never missing a chance for the singer and his band to let loose.
Opening for Paul is New York-based singer-songwriter Hannah Cohen, whose stunning and heartrending album “Pleasure Boy” paints a vivid picture of love lost. Mainly inspired by a painful break-up and the anxieties that loss can trigger, the album cushions its sadness in an exquisitely nuanced soundscape of aching melancholy and lush melody. Her stage presence is best described as a captivating sultriness; recently adding a full band to her live set to help further reveal her music’s passion.
