The Castellows Bring Angelic Harmonies and Georgia Roots to the Two Step Inn

By on May 4, 2026

The Castellows took the Showdeo stage at 1:30 p.m. on April 19, 2026, and the mid-afternoon crowd at San Gabriel Park felt the warmth of true family harmony right away. With their tight three-part vocals blending into one seamless, almost angelic sound over acoustic-driven neo-traditional country, the sister trio crafts music that feels both timeless and deeply personal—rooted in rural life yet fresh enough to connect with new listeners. In today’s country scene, where many acts chase trends, they stand out for staying true to their Georgia farm upbringing while delivering songs that celebrate simple truths and sisterly chemistry.

From a Georgia Cattle Farm to Nashville’s Rising Stage

The Castellows—sisters Ellie, Lily, and Powell Balkcom—hail from rural Georgetown, Georgia, where they grew up on a cattle and timber farm, were homeschooled, and spent time working the land and singing in church choir. They started sharing covers on social media in 2022, quickly building a following with their natural harmonies. By 2023 they had signed with Warner Music Nashville and Warner Records, releasing their debut EP *A Little Goes a Long Way* in February 2024. Follow-up projects included the *Alabama Stone* EP in late 2024 and the seven-song *Homecoming* EP in May 2025. Along the way they earned spots on CMT Next Women of Country and SiriusXM Highway Find lists, opened for Little Big Town and Sugarland, and joined Thomas Rhett’s Better In Boots Tour in 2025. Their music draws directly from Southern roots while keeping the focus on heartfelt storytelling and those signature sibling harmonies.

Their Set on the Showdeo Stage

Scheduled on the Showdeo stage—reserved for established artists bridging emerging talent and headliners—The Castellows delivered a joyful, harmony-rich set that mixed tracks from their EPs with crowd favorites. The performance had the kind of easy energy that comes from playing together for years, and the growing Day 2 crowd responded with strong singalongs and applause. A special highlight came near the end when Wyatt Flores joined them onstage for an unplugged moment that turned into one of the festival’s feel-good highlights.

The Two Step Inn festival returned to scenic San Gabriel Park in Georgetown, Texas—just north of Austin—for its 2026 edition. The park’s live oaks and open spaces create a relaxed, community-oriented atmosphere that feels more like a hometown gathering than a large-scale event. Three stages offered something for every taste: Pony Up for rising acts, Showdeo for favorites like The Castellows, and Big River for the biggest draws, all supported by local food vendors and plenty of room to spread out. After Day 1’s weather issues, Day 2 unfolded under clearer skies and full sunshine.

Why The Castellows Live Shows Feel Like Family

The Castellows may still be early in their major-label journey, but their Showdeo set reminded everyone why family bands have always held a special place in country music. With songs drawn from real life on the farm and harmonies that lock in so naturally, their performances offer that warm, uplifting feeling of watching siblings who genuinely enjoy making music together. If you appreciate neo-traditional country that stays grounded while reaching out to new fans, their growing 2026 tour schedule—including festival dates and headline runs—gives plenty of chances to experience it firsthand. You’ll likely leave smiling and humming one of their tunes all the way home.
