Morgan Wade to appear at ACL Festival
If you’re looking for some fresh and exciting music to check out this year, you might want to head to Austin City Limits festival and catch Morgan Wade’s performance. Morgan Wade is a rising country star who has been making waves with her debut album, Reckless, released in March 2021. The album showcases her raw and honest songwriting, blending elements of rock, folk, Americana and pop.
Morgan Wade grew up in Floyd, Virginia, a small town with a vibrant music scene. She started writing songs at the age of 19, inspired by artists like Jason Isbell, Brandi Carlile and Tom Petty. She formed a band called The Stepbrothers and began playing local shows, honing her craft and developing her distinctive voice. In 2018, she caught the attention of producer Sadler Vaden, who is also the guitarist for Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit. Vaden helped Wade shape her sound and vision for her first solo album, which features 10 tracks that explore themes of love, loss, addiction and redemption.
Morgan Wade has been praised by critics and fans alike for her authentic and powerful storytelling, as well as her dynamic vocal range and delivery. Rolling Stone called her “a force of nature” and Billboard named her one of the “15 Country Artists to Watch in 2021”. She has also been compared to artists like Sheryl Crow, Stevie Nicks and Kacey Musgraves. Morgan Wade is not afraid to bare her soul and share her personal experiences through her music, creating a connection with her listeners that is rare and refreshing. Morgan Wade will be performing at both weekends of ACL Fest this year, along with other headliners like Kendrick Lamar, Foo Fighters, Shania Twain and Mumford & Sons. She will be playing songs from her debut album, as well as some new material that she has been working on. If you’re a fan of country music with an edge, or just looking for something different and exciting to listen to, you won’t want to miss Morgan Wade’s show at ACL Fest.
