Extra Innings Festival Day 2 Wraps the Weekend with Fresh Country Energy in Tempe

By on March 16, 2026

Saturday, February 28, 2026, capped off a memorable weekend at Tempe Beach Park as Extra Innings Festival wrapped its third year with another sun-filled day of music that felt both familiar and exciting. What continues to set this festival apart in today’s music scene is its smart, no-overlap scheduling on two main stages, letting fans move easily between rising talents and established stars while soaking in that easy spring-training atmosphere and lakefront setting. It’s the kind of event that turns a quick afternoon into a full weekend of discovery and connection.

Extra Innings Festival launched in 2024 as the dedicated country-and-roots extension of the original Innings Festival, which has been a Tempe Beach Park tradition since 2018. Produced by C3 Presents—the same team responsible for Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits Music Festival, Bonnaroo, and Country Calling Festival—the two-day gathering blends live performances with local food, baseball vibes, and relaxed Arizona views.

A Full Day of Music on Two Stages

The Home Plate and Right Field stages delivered a strong mix of new and established voices throughout the day. Right Field opened with Cole Phillips setting an early tone, followed by Colby Acuff on the same stage. Home Plate welcomed Laci Kaye Booth, then Noeline Hofmann brought her prairie-rooted storytelling. 49 Winchester followed on Home Plate with their Appalachian sound, while Shaboozey lit up the late afternoon on Home Plate with his genre-blending energy. Chayce Beckham took Right Field into the evening, HARDY followed on Home Plate with his rowdy style, Jessie Murph closed Right Field with her heartfelt edge, and Kane Brown headlined Home Plate to wrap the night.

Highlights included Shaboozey’s seamless country-hip-hop grooves, Noeline Hofmann’s authentic Alberta tales, 49 Winchester’s tight harmonies, and HARDY’s high-energy set. The biggest artists of the day—Kane Brown with his chart-topping hits and crossover appeal, HARDY known for his bold anthems and viral moments, Jessie Murph with her breakout emotional ballads, Shaboozey riding the massive success of “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” and 49 Winchester with their rootsy breakthrough tracks—showed the depth and range that keeps fans coming back to events like this.

A Weekend That Feels Just Right

Day 2 of Extra Innings Festival reminded everyone why this event has quickly become a favorite on the Arizona calendar. The pacing, the variety, and the simple joy of good music in a welcoming setting made it easy to lose track of time and simply enjoy the moment. For music lovers who want a festival that feels thoughtful and approachable rather than overwhelming, it’s the sort of weekend that quietly sticks with you—the kind you’ll be talking about with friends while already marking next year on the calendar.
